    Summary

     

    BlueWater Federal is looking for a Knowledge Management Specialist to support two branches, Records and Research Branch (RRB) and Content and Collaboration Branch (CCB) within Joint Staff (JS); Secretariat, Joint Staff (SJS); Information Management Division (IMD) at the Pentagon and, occasionally, at the JS Hampton Roads in Suffolk, VA.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide recommendations to DOM/SJS initiatives that may consist of creation, design, and maintenance of web pages, workflows, sites and solutions
    • Perform portal management to ensure current, relevant, and accurate information
    • Monitor SharePoint functionality to ensure workflows are employed correctly
    • Perform ongoing research to determine SharePoint’s current and future capabilities
    • Liaise with Joint Staff J6 and Joint Service Provider regarding capabilities and migration of sites
    • Assist with design and fundamental management of portal sites
    • Provide end-user and Site Owner support to DOM users, composing training aides/material and leveraging available resources
    • Assist JS Directorates to enhance the collaborative capturing, sharing, managing, and re-using of the staff's knowledge assets
    • Coordinate requirements for developing training materials and update or develop those materials
    • Document and create KM processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 5+ years of Knowledge Management experience or Associates Degree with 5-7 years of military experience
    • Possess Certified Information Professional (CIP) and/or KM Certification, or industry equivalent is highly desired.
    • Joint / military headquarters and executive leadership engagement experience is desired.
    • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
