    This Lead role will provide Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) support and serve as a Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) System and Integration subject matter expert.

    Responsibilities

    • Air and missile defense planning for development and revision of multiple Contingency and Operational Plans.
    • USCENTCOM air and missile defense lead planner at Operations and Logistics Plans
    • Synchronize IAMD efforts across the theater.
    • Develop critical asset list and assisted in development of defended asset lists, for current operations, contingency plans, wargames, and models and simulations.
    • Provide IAMD expertise to USCENTCOM’s Joint Operations Center (JOC), Operational Planning Element (OPE), and Long Range Planning Element (LRPE) in support of crisis response options.
    • Provide IAMD expertise to leverage defensive cyber operations to protect USCENTCOM air and missile defense operations.
    • Review and make recommendations for improvements to IAMD related requests for forces (RFF), deployment and fragmentary orders, as well as Operations Plans (OPLAN) and Concept of Operations Plans (CONPLAN).
    • Provide IAMD input into the Global Force Management processes.
    • Represent IAMD requirements equities across the staff to include modeling and simulation ensuring missile defense equities are appropriately modeled.
    • Assess partner nation’s ability to contribute to USCENTCOM’S air and missile defense operations.
    • Support the integration of Homeland Defense concerns into IAMD plans and operations as capabilities develop that affect the homeland.

    Qualifications

    • At least 10 years’ experience with Air & Missile planning in an operational environment.
    • Previous employment in a Combatant Command
    • Previous air defense operational and staff level experience preferred.
    • Ability to give presentations to senior members of U.S. and Coalition defense organizations.
    • Completion of Missile Defense Staff Basic course and Missile Defense Deliberate Planning course helpful.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction (must be able to lead projects without supervision).
    • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time mostly CONUS
