BlueWater is seeking a customer service-oriented IT Help Desk Specialist to provide fast and useful technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software.



  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance, in person, over the phone or through email.
  • Supports Desktop and Laptop users and resolve issues with all Microsoft Products, Adobe, and other deployed software.
  • Support of any other communication equipment as needed including wireless phones.
  • IT Inventory management. Organizing and maintaining structure within IT work areas.
  • Printer maintenance: Support, drivers, toner, installing maintenance kits etc.
  • Procurement of IT/supplies, Assist with purchasing request methods
  • Network and phone cabling, some networking and phone administration.
  • Perform back up and data recovery with attention to detail to prevent loss of data from hardware and software failures.
  • Assist Systems Administrators with related tasks as required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related discipline is preferred
  • 3+ years of IT Helpdesk experience supporting WIN XP-WIN 2010
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance and DHS Suitability.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office 2013 & 2016
  • Experience with installation and updating of Desktop OS and Applications.
  • Experience with IT ticketing system
  • Able to establish a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers, and peers.
  • Knowledge of managing patches for software certifications, data collection, and reporting.
  • Familiarly with FIPS Compliance and Encryption Methods.
  • Ability to follow 4300A Sensitive Systems Guidelines
