BlueWater Federal is looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to support the US Army Reserve Command (USARC) at Ft. Bragg and join our dynamic Cybersecurity Team.

 

This team developed and operated the Army Reserve Network (ARNet). The ARNet is an unclassified network of over 65,000 work stations and over 4000 servers and network devices supporting approximately 205,000 total Army Reserve personnel to include military, civilian, and contractors.  The USARC has over 138 systems and applications currently hosted and utilized on the ARNet.

Responsibilities

  • Assess security systems and designs, design countermeasures to identify security risks, design security controls based on Cybersecurity principles and tenets, determine how a security system should work (including its resilience and dependability capabilities), and determine how the changes in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect these outcomes. Contractor shall develop and apply security system access controls and evaluate the adequacy of security designs at least 95% compliance.
  • Prepare technical, operational, and functional, documents and configurations to support Cybersecurity in preparation for dissemination by the government.
  • Investigate and provide written recommendations to resolve Cybersecurity issues on all USAR networks when cybersecurity threats arise.
  • Develop written guidance, reviews, edits, updates, analysis, and recommendations to the Incident Response Plan (IRP) annually for all USAR networks, devices, and systems.
  • Write, review, and conduct yearly test plans in support of implementing Continuity of Operations (COOP) sites that support mission essential functions.
  • Provide technical support and review the cybersecurity incident reporting process with recommendations for process improvements for unclassified and classified USAR network, devices, and systems. This incident response process focuses on data/computing center and/or Local/Wide Area Network recovery following a disruption including specific actions for restoring or recovering IT and other systems after they fail by participating in monthly testing and weekly working groups.
  • Provide documentation for tests of the IRP for all USAR networks and participate in monthly testing and weekly working groups.
  • Conduct Cyber Security functions IAW AR 25-2 and DoD 8570.1-M, establishing, managing, and assessing the effectiveness of all aspects of the cybersecurity program as it applies to the SharePoint site collection.
  • Ensure application of security patches for commercial products integrated into system design meet the time-lines dictated by the management authority for the intended operational environment and ensure Cybersecurity-enabled products or other compensating security control technologies reduce identified risk to an acceptable level, implement and/or integrate security measures for use in system(s) and ensure that system designs incorporate security configuration guidelines.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ Years of cybersecurity experience
  • Secret Clearance
  • DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II Certification (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP, or GSLC plus CompTIA Security + or equivalent)
