BlueWater Federal is looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to support the US Army Reserve Command (USARC) at Ft. Bragg and join our dynamic Cybersecurity Team. This team developed and operated the Army Reserve Network (ARNet). The ARNet is an unclassified network of over 65,000 work stations and over 4000 servers and network devices supporting approximately 205,000 total Army Reserve personnel to include military, civilian, and contractors.  The USARC has over 138 systems and applications currently hosted and utilized on the ARNet.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service support to all USAR networks with full spectrum Cybersecurity processes to ensure the defense and protection of all government and DoD information systems.
  • Support daily operations, security policies, network accreditation, and compliance to DoD and Army regulations, Operation Orders, and directives using automated and manual audits.
  • Cybersecurity functions consist of measures that fully support in-formation systems confidentiality, availability, integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation.
  • Participate in working groups to resolve computer security incidents and vulnerability compliance. They will have knowledge of cryptology including encryption algorithm
  • Develop and present briefings and documentation in support of Cybersecurity for all USAR networks.
  • Conduct threat analysis, report known or perceived threats for all USAR networks posted on government and industry websites and write reports for all USAR networks at least annually for all hosted applications and systems on SARNet and ARNet. Provide results to the COR.
  • Provide documentation for data gathering and technical analysis conducted for all USAR networks.
  • Perform day-to-day configuration and maintenance on each security system, application, or monitoring systems for all USAR networks.
  • Monitor, identify, and assess network and system vulnerabilities, requirements, and deficiencies on unclassified and classified networks and report findings for all USAR networks and provide results to the COR or as part of daily operations report and as needed based on newly identified cybersecurity threats.
  • Review trouble tickets assigned to the NEC Cybersecurity Branch generated by a Government provided automated system. Provide response and resolution of trouble tickets, or route to proper entity for action for all USAR networks acknowledge within 72 hours of submission. The average ticket submission is approximately 2000 per year.
  • Brief the COR on high priority trouble tickets as they arrive in the ticket queue.
  • Provide Cybersecurity Branch Trouble Ticket Rollup Status weekly and monthly Reports to the COR.
  • Mange and track all cybersecurity operations orders to the COR. Average Operations Orders per year is 600.
  • Provide daily and weekly reports to the COR, to identify deficiencies and strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities for all USAR networks.
  • Daily track and report vulnerabilities from alerts, advisories, and bulletins to maintain at least a 95% compliance.
  • Plan, design, build, test, implement, and customize hardware, software, and directories used to support security solutions, automate enforcement of government security policies and internet firewalls, internet port access, and proxies based on the number Ports, Protocol, System (PPS) request. The average PPS request is 30 per year.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ Years of cybersecurity experience
  • Must have a current Secret Clearance
  • DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II Certification (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP, or GSLC plus CompTIA Security + or equivalent) is required
