BlueWater is looking for Payroll/Accounting Specialist to support the processing of company payroll and accounts payable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare semi-monthly Payroll utilizing Deltek GCS Premier, Deltek Time Collection & ADP
  • Process employee payroll changes: new hires, terminations, deduction changes, and garnishments
  • Timesheet Administration: Ensure new hires are setup properly, Re-set Passwords, and answer employee Timesheet questions
  • Process semi-monthly timesheets – ensure accuracy of time charging and cost accounting
  • Process Timesheet corrections
  • Prepare Payroll Journals, leave accrual reports etc.
  • Assist HR with maintaining Employee records
  • Process Quarterly Commissions and Special Payrolls
  • Review and Reconcile Quarterly Tax and Payroll Reports
  • Review and Distribute W-2’s
  • Backup for other accounting functions as needed
  • Assist in audits-internal and external

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is highly desired.
  • 4+ years of experience working for a Federal Government Contractor in an Payroll/Accounting role
  • Working Knowledge of Processing Multi-State Payroll
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DCAA audit guidelines and GAAP
  • Experience with Deltek GCS Premier and ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience with web-based electronic time systems such as Deltek T&E
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with PowerPoint and Word
  • Flexibility and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize
  • Experience processing payroll with ADP Payroll System is desired.
  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one is desired
