BlueWater Federal Solutions (BlueWater) is seeking a Service Delivery Executive/VP of Operations lead the day-to-day operations for several of our large prime DOD accounts (USAF, ARMY, NAVY, CENTCOM, DISA) performed throughout the U.S. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery teams, collaborate with internal team members and stakeholders (BlueWater PMO and subcontractors) in order to deliver program success.
As an integral part of BlueWater’s Management Team, you will oversee the P&L performance of each contract in the assigned portfolio. You will work with the BlueWater PMO, Business Development Team, and BlueWater subject matter experts to remove obstacles, solve customer problems, deliver BlueWater services exceptionally, and foster the strong performance culture that has been established. A high proportion of time and effort will be spent in direct communications with our Program Managers and customers, working to improve their overall experience with BlueWater services and strategic initiatives while maintaining/increasing margins. The successful candidate will possess experience leading high-performance teams to perform services on Federal programs. We require a strong background in program management, organizational communications, development of cross-functional teams from proposal, transition and delivery.
The successful candidate will be required to travel, and must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment and culture. In this role, you will anticipate technical and scheduling bottlenecks, ensure staffing levels are achieved, oversee personnel performance, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical/operational constraints.
Maturity, sound moral judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
Ten (10) years of Program Management and leadership experience in federal contracting with proven track record with documented/measurable results
Bachelor of Science in a related field/industry
A proven track record of being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects
Understanding of, and experience managing contract P&Ls
Support and operations experience in a federal agency environment
Experience in a lead role supporting large Federal Programs
Fluency and comfort with business applications such as Word, Excel and Project
The ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise and to work with both technical and non-technical individuals
Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business
The ability to deal with ambiguity and a changing environment, as well as a rapid work pace
Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to work across cross functional teams to deliver large, complex IT solutions
Ability to credibly coordinate between project teams and customers to meet unique customer.
