Overview

Join a team of senior software engineers responsible for maintaing an enterprise web-application for the U.S. Federal government. An ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end programming HTML5, CSS3, Sass, jQuery, JavaScript and Drupal 7.X Content Management System (CMS) Theme programming. The ideal candidate should have experience with Responsive Web Design programming, implementation of new design across the platforms (all major web-browsers, mobile and table browsers) using Bootstrap or similar mobile-first front-end frameworks.  Responsibilities will include lead the Drupal CMS Theme programming, and Drupal CMS module development and Drupal Profile maintenance as well as working with the application development team to design and implement new design across the platform. Candidate should have experience creating and modifying Drupal themes. The candidate should have experience with LAMP Stack configuration in Linux based Operating System and GIT source control.

 

The position is ideal for a front-end web developer interested in advancing his or her skills with back-end programming and Drupal CMS.  

 

 

Responsibilities

7 years minimum experience with HTML5, CSS3, Sass, jQuery, JavaScript Programming

•     7 years minimum experience with Drupal 7.X CMS Theme Programming

•     7 years minimum experience with Responsive Web Design Programming across all major desktop browsers, and mobile & tablet browsers

•     7 years minimum experience with Bootstrap or similar mobile-first framework programming

•     Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP

•     Must have extensive experience programming web-applications and websites using standards compliant code (ex: W3C)

•     Experience developing and delivering mobile solutions

•     Candidate must have detailed knowledge of Section 508 and website accessibilty requirements 

•     Experience creating and maintaining sites using Drupal Profiles

•     Self-starter with strong self-management skills

•     Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

•     Excellent written and oral communications skills

•     Strong attention to detail

•     Ability to work additional hours as needed

•     Ability to work in a dynamic, agile teaming environment an supporting other team members as needed

•     Ability to perform independently or in a team setting

•     Ability to support team members including documentation, development, and testing phases

•     Ability to follow standards and processes as specified by DHS requirements

•     Familiarity in the SDLC or  DHS System Engineering  Life Cycle (SELC) is a plus

*    D3.js library knowledge and experience

 

Qualifications

Minimum 7

Minimum 7 years experience developing and maintaing large scale websites or web-applications 

B.S. in Computer Science or related field

Ability to optain DoD Clerance and DHS EOD Suitability
